Nijun Zhang graduated from Beijing Foreign Studies University with a bachelor's degree in Sanskrit and Pali, exploring the realms of Buddhist and Hindu studies during her academic journey in her undergraduate study. She also has a foundation in basic Tibetan and Thai. She is currently immersed in exploring Dunhuang manuscripts, ancient astrology, and divination.
